Old Testament Trinity. (Rublov Style). This icon is also known as The Hospitality of Abraham. The icon portrays three angels seat around a table in the style made famous by St Andre Rublov's icon. Each of the angels has the same face and according to Christian apologists represents one of the Persons of the Holy Trinity. The angels foretold that when they returned in a year Sarah would be with child to which she laughed as she was an old woman at that time. Rublov style refers to the icon painted by St Andre Rublov which omits Abraham and Sarah and the others in preparing their hospitality for the three visitors
